Got a quick text off Dad last night. He was at Ullapool YHA waiting for it to open at 5.00 p.m. It had been a HOT day out on the bike.

I met your Dad a couple of times last week and shared a few beers and a wee dram or two in Ullapool on Wednesday at the Arches and Ferry Bridge Inn. Glad to see he got off well the next morning! I have a photo on my phone I'll try to post. I then spotted him 2 days later taking a breather with another cyclist at the Kylescu Bridge. He's a true gent and an inspiration.
