Bognor Regis

Spoke to Dad earlier. He'd just arrived in Bognor Regis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bognor_Regis and was ringing before he headed off to find his friends house. He has had good day on the bike despite a head wind! He set off just after 8.00 this morning and arrived at Bognor just after 4.00 pm.

The route today took Dad from Norman's Bay through Pevensey and into Eastbourne. Dad was disappointed in Eastbourne as it was not "biker friendly". Most places he's been through have cycle lanes along the front but not Eastbourne. From Eastbourne it was a big climb up to Beachy Head Countryside Centre http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beachy_Head... From there it was onto East Dean and downhill into Seven Sisters http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Sisters,_Sussex. It was then on through Seahaven, Newhaven and Peacehaven which were more cycle friendly which maybe because he was South Coast Cycle Route. It was then on through Rottingdean and Brighton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brighton. Lunch stop was in Shoreham-by-sea. After lunch it was onto Lancing, Worthing, Ferring, Littlehamton, Middleton-on-Sea and into Bognor Regis. Not much time for sight-seeing today!

At least Dad hasn't got to put his tent up or do any cooking tonight!

Not sure of his plans for tomorrow yet.
